Our colour for this route on the map is orange! Derived from the Karoo Gazania, which is not easy to miss during late winter to early summer when the Karoo landscape transforms in bright splashes of orange and yellow.

The Aardvark Loop covers 381 km from Beaufort West, via Merweville, Prince Albert & Klaarstroom!

Merweville is an isolated community that maintains an old-world charm, about 150 km from Beaufort West. The surrounding region has been likened to that of Nevada or Arizona and retains the old type laid-back lifestyle of days gone by!

Prince Albert lies at the foot of the awe-inspiring Swartberg Pass. The town offers wide open spaces to hike and bike, crisp, clear air, star-filled skies and quiet to restore your soul.
